NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

            NOTICE is hereby given that the Buchanan County Board of Supervisors will conduct a Public Hearing on the 6^th day of January at 5:30 o’clock p.m., in the Board of Supervisors meeting room, 3^rd floor of the Buchanan County Government Center at 4447 Slate Creek Road, Grundy, Virginia, to hear public comments concerning a proposed Occupancy Agreement involving real property currently owned by the Buchanan County, Va. Public Service Authority, namely  office/garage/warehouse structures on the river side of Rt. U.S. 460 in Deel, Virginia.  The proposed Occupancy Agreement would be an agreement between Buchanan County, Virginia, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Buchanan County, Va. Public Service Authority (PSA) to provide for the PSA’s continued use of said property pending the PSA move to it new location at Southern Gap in Buchanan County.  The property that is the subject of the Occupancy Agreement is property being acquired by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in the name of Buchanan County, Va. in pursuit of the USACE’s flood proofing project in Buchanan County, Va.

The proposed Occupancy Agreement will be available for review at the time of the public hearing, and earlier upon request to the Buchanan County Administrator’s Office, 4447 Slate Creek Road, Grundy, Virginia.
